The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce that Daniel Tupou has signed an extension to remain with the club until the end of the 2015 season.

21 year-old Tupou expressed his delight at extending his contract with the club.

Im really enjoying being a part of the Roosters. Im learning so much and I wanted to stay a Rooster and build a career here.

I still have lots of room to improve and I hope to continue to learn and hopefully secure my opportunity to play some good football for the club.

Roosters Chief Operating Officer Football, Brian Canavan, was also delighted to have Tupou locked in to the Clubs long-term plans.

Daniel is an exciting young talent and has been a wonderful asset to the club both on and off the field. Tall, strong and with great footwork, Daniel has the ability to grab some AFL type marks and become a real crowd favourite. He has applied himself diligently across all aspects of professional football and we look forward to him continuing to be a key contributor in the years to come.

Tupou played three NRL games in 2012, one of which he scored a hat-trick of tries against the Wests Tigers in Round 25, and was named NSW Cup Winger of the Year.
