Round 21 of the 2015 NRL Telstra Premiership will see worlds collide when seven teams align with Marvel with today’s unveil of the 2015 ISC | Marvel Super Heroes jerseys.
Showcasing the Marvel Super Hero icons, the Roosters will wear the Captain America jersey, the Raiders the Hulk, the Cowboys will channel Thor, the Dragons will return to Iron Man and Manly will be Daredevil.
Two more teams will join the legion this year with the Knights wearing Spider-Man and the Wests Tigers will wear War Machine.
Released alongside the jerseys today was a promotional trailer to unveil the jerseys.
Filmed in Lindfield, Sydney, Kieran Foran (Manly), Paul Vaughan (Raiders) Jarrod Mullen (Knights), Gavin Cooper (Cowboys), Gareth Widdop (Dragons), Jared Warea-Hargreaves (Roosters)and Martin Taupau (Wests Tigers) took time out to star in the epic trailer.
Speaking about the thrill of being selected to take part in the filming, Roosters enforcer Jared Wearea-Hargraves said he was looking forward to wearing the Captain America jersey for the upcoming round.
“Marvel Super Heroes are awesome!” Warea-Heagraves said.
“They get to save the world; they have special powers, and are aspirational”.
“I think we all wanted to be Marvel Super Heroes when we were little and next week its my turn.
“I can’t wait to run out onto the field in my Captain America jersey.”
New to the NRL ISC | Marvel Heroes community are the Knights donning a jersey depicting the worlds most famous web warrior Spider-Man.
“I think Spider-Man is one of the first Marvel Super Heroes you become aware of growing up,” Jarrod Mullen said.
“The jerseys look great, and we (the Knights) will be taking on the Dragons in Round 21 who will be wearing Iron Man jerseys.
By utilising state-of-the-art digital techniques, the 2015 ISC Marvel Super Heroes showcase a dynamic new look.
