The Sydney Roosters have extended their condolences following the news that key contributors to the Bondi United Rugby League Football Club have passed in recent days.

A Life Member of Bondi United, Bill Lewis (player # 467), represented Eastern Suburbs in 1956. In 1955, he was a member of the victorious President Cup team and in 1959, he was a member of the Queensland team that won the interstate series against New South Wales. This was the last Queensland team to win a series prior to State of Origin.

The Roosters have also been saddened to hear of the passing of former President of Bondi United, Bernie Ford, and Craig Wright, a long-standing Member of Bondi United.

This follows the sad news about the passing of founding member of the Bondi United Rugby League Football Club, Bill “Yooka” Symonds, and his twin brother Curly, earlier this month.

The Sydney Roosters extend their deepest condolences to Bondi United and the family and friends of the aforementioned at this sad time.
