Captain Jake Friend spoke to the media this afternoon to discuss a number of subjects ahead of our Round 1 clash with the Rabbitohs.

He commented on his role of Captain and what that means to him.

"There's a bit of pressure on myself, and I'm looking forward to that," he said on his role.

When asked about how the responsibility changes, he was quick to back the leadership group at the Club.

"I don't think it changes a whole heap (his role).

"We've got a good leadership group here, and it's up to us to get the season rolling.

"There's a good bunch of leaders and blokes that have been in our system for a long time.

"It's on us to get the season going."
