Ahead of the Kangaroos first Rugby League World Cup clash on Friday night against England, head coach Mal Meninga has named his 21-man side.

Boyd Cordner has been named as the Vice Captain in the starting line-up as expected, while Cameron Smith has been named as Captain.

No real surprises for the Kangaroos this week, though this week's five eighth will be North Queensland Cowboys halfback Michael Morgan.

The final 17-man side will be decided ahead of kick off.
