Sydney Roosters 2018 Indigenous Jersey

The Sydney Roosters will continue to celebrate Indigenous culture and also honour a Roosters legend with the unveiling of their 2018 Indigenous jersey.

The jersey will be worn for the NRL's Indigenous Round in Round 10 when we face the New Zealand Warriors at Mt Smart Stadium.

It features Roosters legend and rugby league immortal, the late Arthur Beetson front and centre.

What makes this jersey extra special is that it was once again designed by Arthur's niece Bianca Beetson, who also designed the Roosters Arthur Beetson jerseys in 2016.

Arthur's iconic face sits proudly on the front of the jersey surrounded by Totems of the Kabi Kabi people of the Sunshine Coast, which include the Bunya Pine and the native bee.

The artwork pays tribute to Arthur, who in his own words is "A very proud Australian, a very proud Queenslander, but also a very proud Aboriginal."

The Sydney Roosters would like to thank the Beetson Foundation for their continued support, and in particular Bianca Beetson for designing this special jersey.

At the conclusion of the Indigenous Round match, the Roosters will be auctioning the player worn jerseys with all profits going to the Beetson Foundation.

The jersey is available for purchase online now at the OFFICIAL TEAM STORE.

The NRL Indigenous Round highlights the significant contribution that Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander people make to rugby league both on and off the field.
