Easter With The Roosters

It was all smiles this Easter with Roosters!

Over 200 kids took part in the Sydney Roosters Super Awesome Easter Kids Camps both in the Eastern Suburbs and on the Central Coast.

The energetic camps were full of fun, laughter, and new friendships.

There were many memorable highlights in the camps, with lots of activities to challenge the kids both physically and mentally.

Roosters legend Anthony Minichiello was a special guest, and he was joined by current players Daniel Tupou, Lindsay Collins, Eloni Vunakece, Chris Smith, and Bernard Lewis to run through fun rugby league drills.

Special prizes were up for grabs when the players tested the kids with Roosters trivia.

Rocky the Rooster was also big hit, and the Rooster Girls were on hand to teach some dance routines.

The kids got the chance to see where their Roosters heroes prepare on game day with a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Allianz Stadium change rooms.

The day ended with players spending quality time with the kids and signing posters and t-shirts.

Sydney Roosters Community Coordinator Anastasia Actypis said the Easter camps were a great success with record numbers.

"The kids had a blast," she said.

"The players had a great time spending time with the kids.

"It was a really happy environment with lots of great energy and smiles."

Anastasia wanted to thank everyone who made the camps possible.

"The NRL Development Officers were a great in helping run the football clinics, but the biggest thank you goes out to the families who got involved.

"A huge thank you goes out to the parents for bringing their kids along to the camps, we really enjoyed having them and we hope they all got some special memories to take away from the day.

"We can't wait to see everyone back at our next camp in July."

The final treat for the kids will happen this Sunday afternoon when they perform a dance and do a lap of honour in front of thousands of Roosters fans at our Round 9 clash against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.

The next opportunity to attend our Sydney Roosters Holiday Camps will be in the July school holidays, stay tuned to roosters.com.au for dates.
