Senior Weekend Results | 24th May, 2026

With the Roosters senior teams enjoying the weekend off, attention swung to the games featuring the Glebe Dirty Reds at Wentworth Park against the Ryde-Eastwood Hawks, with both matches being won by the Hawks.

NSW Cup

The 4th placed Sydney Roosters had the bye in Round 12 and remain in 4th place on the ladder ahead of their Round 13 clash with the 14th placed Melbourne Storm in Melbourne next Saturday.

Jersey Flegg Cup (Men’s Under 21s)

The 12th placed Sydney Roosters had the bye in Round 12 and have moved up to 11th place on the ladder ahead of their Round 13 clash with the 12th placed Melbourne Storm in Melbourne next Saturday. It will be the Roosters first game in three weeks.

NSW Women’s Premiership

The competition for the Central Coast Roosters doesn’t commence until Saturday, 13th June.

Ron Massey Cup

The 5th placed Glebe Dirty Reds have suffered a fifth straight loss, going down 18-10 to 3rd placed Ryde-Eastwood Hawks in their Round 8 clash at Wentworth Park on Sunday, after Glebe led 6-4 at half time.

Roosters N.S.W. Cup squad members Rhys Dakin (prop) and Michael Coleman (hooker) both suited up for Glebe, as did Jersey Flegg Cup winger Dom Farrugia.

The Hawks scored a try off their opening set of the game before the Dirty Reds took the lead in the 14th minute when five eighth Witika Rees-Hatu beat a number of Hawks defenders to the line from a nice grubber kick halves partner Tully Wilton. The 6-4 lead Glebe gained as a result of the conversion would hold for over 30 minutes before the Hawks regained the lead in the 48th minute after a converted try to Hawks five eighth Eden Ackland.

An unmarked Dom Farrugia scored Glebe’s second try in the 60th minute in the left corner to tie the scores at 10-10, and Glebe were well set to challenge the Hawks for the two competition points. However, the last 20 minutes belonged to Ryde-Eastwood who dominated field position and eventually scored tries in the 68th and 78th minute to take the points and consign Glebe to another loss.

With that loss, the Dirty Reds drop to 9th on the ladder, ahead of their Round 9 match against 10th placed Manly Leagues at Narrabeen next Sunday.

Sydney Shield

The 5th placed Glebe Dirty Reds are starting to lose touch with the Top 4 after going down 30-12 to the 6th placed Ryde-Eastwood Hawks in their Round 8 clash at Wentworth Park on Sunday, after the Hawks led 22-0 at half time.

Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg Cup squad members Micah Leaupepe-Perkins (fullback), Ryder Williams (halfback) and Jacob Tinsley (hooker) all turned out for Glebe, with Tinsley leading the team.

Ryde-Eastwood ran in six tries within the first 60 minutes to lead 30-0 to secure their victory and leapfrog Glebe on the ladder. The Dirty Reds did post two late tries to reduce the final score to 30-12 but it was a comprehensive victory for Ryde-Eastwood.

With that loss, the Dirty Reds drop to 7th on the ladder. With a bye in Round 9 and a competition break the week after, Glebe won’t play again until Saturday, 13th June.
