Roosters announce NRLW Premiership & Community Partnership with KARI

The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce a partnership with the KARI Foundation which will encompass the Club's NRL Women's (NRLW) Team and Community Programs for the next two years.

The KARI logo will feature on the sternum and top back of the Roosters NRLW jersey, while as a Community Partner, KARI will assist in the delivery of the Roosters Reconciliation Action Plan, and work with the Club to develop an Indigenous Culture Program for primary school students.

The KARI Foundation designs and develops programs and initiatives which have delivered successful outcomes for thousands of Indigenous people across education, health, arts, Indigenous culture and sports; and the Roosters have an existing relationship with the KARI Foundation, who are the major partner of the Club's Tasha Gale Cup side, the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy.

KARI CEO, Ms Casey Ralph, said: "It's exciting that there is now a genuine pathway to an NRL Women's competition for the young players involved in the Sydney Roosters Indigenous Academy Tarsha Gale Cup side, and we are pleased that our expanded partnership with the Roosters will continue to encourage these young Indigenous women.

"Not only are we looking forward to cheering on the Roosters NRL Women's team, we are also looking forward to working closely with the Club to develop and deliver a number of important programs for young Indigenous people and the local community," added Ms Ralph.

Roosters COO, Mr Jarrod Johnstone, confirmed that the partnership with the KARI Foundation completed the opportunity to feature on the Club's 2018 NRLW Premiership jersey.

"There has been strong corporate support for the Roosters NRL Women's team, and we are pleased to welcome the KARI Foundation to our diverse partners for the inaugural season of the NRLW Premiership," said Mr Johnstone.

"Our partnership with KARI completes the opportunity to appear on the Roosters jersey for the opening season of the NRLW Premiership, and it's a testament to the interest in the upcoming competition that we have filled the available positions on the jersey well-ahead of the season kicking off," he added.
