Last Time We Met the Sea Eagles

The Last Time We Met the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles was in Round 9 at Allianz Stadium for a tight and evenly matched battle.

Last Time We Met The Sea Eagles

It looked like we were set for a tough afternoon in the early stages when the Sea Eagles ran in two quick-fire tries through Addin Fonua-Blake and Akuila Uate.

The Roosters did well to rally back though, gaining momentum on the back of a Fonua-Blake error and capitalising in the corner through Blake Ferguson.

Isaac Liu barged his way over for his first of the season just minutes later to snatch the lead back from the Sea Eagles.

The second half couldn't have started better for the Roosters, with a mistake from Tom Trbojevic gifting the Roosters possession in attacking territory and allowing them to capitalise through Jared Waerea-Hargreaves on the back of a monster run.

It turned into a back-and-forth affair for the remainder of the battle, but it didn't come without it's highlights.

The most notable moment of the night came halfway through the second stanza when Victor Radley put a monster shot on Dylan Walker to save what looked to be a certain try.

Akuila Uate claimed a double in the closing stages, but Joseph Manu did well to defuse their final play to ensure that the Roosters claimed a much needed win over the Sea Eagles.
