This year the annual Maccabi Junior Carnival was held in Queens Park, Waverley, and the Sydney Roosters were lucky enough to be invited along to run some clinics.
The Junior Maccabi Carnival is a week-long sporting event that incorporates exciting social activities for youth aged 12-16 from across Australia and New Zealand.
It is, and has been, for the past thirty years, an integral part of the Jewish sporting calendar.
Roosters under 20's players, Women's Captain Simaima Taufa, and Community Staff met with the kids to run some fun rugby league clinics, kick the footy around, and teach new tips and tricks.
Daniel Kresner from Maccabi said he was overjoyed with the day.
"Maccabi brought together over 350 kids from around Australia for a sports carnival, and it was so great to have the Sydney Roosters visit to run some clinics.
"All the Roosters staff & players were fantastic and the kids loved meeting them and having a run around, and learning some footy skills.
Thanks to all the Roosters staff & players for their time & enthusiasm!"
