Season Review | Brett Morris

After a tough hurdle to overcome in the first half of the season, Brett Morris made a spectacular return to form to close out a season to remember for the veteran winger.

One of the hardest workers of the 2019 pre-season, Morris brought his second to none work ethic to the Club right from the first day of training.

After a spectacular outing in the World Club Challenge which saw him claim a hat-trick in his first Tricolours appearance, Morris was officially given the nod to make his Roosters NRL debut outside Joseph Manu in Round 1.

He was sidelined with a knee injury in Round 2 that would see him unable to play for the following eleven NRL matches.

In his return against the Melbourne Storm at Adelaide Oval, Morris was electric and made an immediate impact with the ball in his hands and on the defensive end of the field.

Round 20 saw Morris thunder his way into the 150 NRL tries club with a sensational hat-trick in the opening twenty minutes against the Gold Coast Titans.

He is now in the top ten all time try scorers, a ladder he will no doubt continue to climb in 2020.
