Senior Reps Teamlist | 16th May, 2026

Whilst the Jersey Flegg Cup team won’t play for a few weeks, the Roosters NSW Cup team is in action on Saturday a part of the NSWRL’s own Magic Round at North Sydney Oval, and their team has been named.

NSW Cup Team (Round 11):

Coach Brett Morris has named his team, who currently sit 3rd on the competition table, to play 2nd placed North Sydney at North Sydney Oval on Saturday. The match, part of the NSWRL’s Magic Round, kicks off at 4.00 pm.

With the NRL side playing in Brisbane on the same day, the NSW Cup team won’t have access to any of those players in the final 19-man (and maybe even the final 20-man) NRL squad this round.

Consequently, left winger Junior Pauga, five eighth Reece Foley and hooker Benaiah Ioelu have not been named in the NSW Cup team for Saturday, whilst Egan Butcher and Cody Ramsay have retained their spots in the NRL squad.

Further, Ben Johnson, who seemed to suffer a left knee injury early in last Saturday’s match but played on, has not been named, and neither has bench hooker Jaxson Allen. The only replacement for those five players that has been named, however, is Owen Flaherty as Pauga’s stand-in on the left wing. It’s possible that Johnson and/or Allen may be added later on.

Tommy Talau (calf) and Hayden Barton (shoulder) are still sidelined.

There is one confirmed change on the bench with dual S.G. Ball Cup premiership prop Itulu Seve to return from suspension at the expense of 17-year-old Charleston Te Rore, who goes back to 19th man.

The remaining replacements will be confirmed at 3.00 pm on Saturday.
