Roosters Radio Ep 131: Fletcher Baker

In this week’s episode of Roosters Radio, we are joined by Fletcher Baker.

Fletcher talks about his late start to Rugby League, what sports he played growing up and his journey from the Hunter region to the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.

He also talks about what he has learnt from players such as JWH, the Roosters style of footy and what enjoys in his spare time!

We review our game against the Melbourne Storm over the weekend and preview this week’s mighty clash against the Parramatta Eels.

Fletcher spoke about his childhood sport, and how he got into Rugby League.

“I played a little bit of touch football, but normally I ended up playing soccer,” he explained.

“I had this growth spurt around fourteen. I looked a little bit awkward, but I had my first taste in school football.

“I ended up going to the Muswellbrook Rams when I was fifteen. “I was just really big and lanky, to be honest.

“It took me a bit to grow into my frame - I think I’m still filling into it.”
