The Sydney Roosters are proud to announce the line up for Saturday afternoon's Round 1 NRLW match against the Parramatta Eels at Commbank Stadium.

The Roosters will kick off the 2022 season against the Eels at 1pm as they look to retain the Premiership trophy following their emphatic 2021 Grand Final victory back in April.

The match marks the second time the two sides have done battle in the NRLW, with the Tricolours coming away with a thrilling 19-18 victory in Round 4 of the 2021 season in Newcastle, which saw Zahara Temara slot the winning field goal.

John Strange's side will feature a number of Roosters debutants, as well as two members of the Club's Pathways System who will make their first-grade debuts via the interchange bench.

Veteran Sam Bremner will make her highly-anticipated return to the NRLW at fullback, joined by 2021 debutant Leianne Tufuga, superstar centre Jessica Sergis, newly named Captain Isabelle Kelly and fellow Roosters debutant Jayme Fressard in the backline.

NRLW Round 4 Highlights: Roosters vs Eels

Halves Zahara Temara and Raecene McGregor will reprise their Premiership-winning halves combination, with the front row featuring Karyn Murphy Medalist Sarah Togatuki, new signing Destiny Brill at hooker as well as New Zealand representative Mya Hill-Moana.

Queensland Origin representative and fellow newcomer Shaniah Power joins the Club's 2021 Rookie of the Year Olivia Kernick in the back row, with barnstorming forward Keilee Joseph making her starting debut for the Tricolours at lock.

Fellow Premiership winner Jocelyn Kelleher and 2021 rookie Shawden Burton are joined by NRLW debutants Kalosipani Hopoate and Otesa Pule on the interchange bench - with the latter two integral members of the 2022 Tarsha Gale Cup side, who coincidentally claimed the title at Commbank Stadium.
