Sydney Roosters to Make Positive Change with Community Corner Initiative

Sydney Roosters are excited to welcome up to 12 community-based non-profit organisations to Roosters home games across the 2023 season through the Community Corner initiative.

The program will provide disadvantaged and minority groups with a unique viewing experience at the Roosters home in Allianz Stadium as well as the historic SCG, with the opportunity for each organisation to be highlighted and announced on the big screen throughout the game.

Sydney Roosters Community and Participation Manager Claire Reed said the Community Corner Program will unite charities and local organisations with a tight-knit group of Roosters members and fans who share the same love for rugby league.

“The Community Corner will allow the Sydney Roosters to develop deeper connections to the local community and bring people who were previously unable to attend our games closer to the action,” she said.

“It’s so important for us to help raise awareness and support non-profit groups because that plays such a huge role in our club culture and who we are as people.”

The program will commence in Round 2, when the Roosters play the New Zealand Warriors in their first home game of the 2023 season at Allianz Stadium and will run until the final home fixture against the Tigers in Round 26.

“We’re really looking forward to forming extremely rewarding connections that can create, what would essentially be, a positive ripple effect within the greater Roosters community,” Reed said.

New South Wales based charities and community groups are encouraged to apply.
