Pilot Medical Update: Round 10

The Sydney Roosters squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following their Magic Round clash with the North Queensland Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium.

Egan Butcher was taken from the field in the 13th minute of the match for a Head Injury Assessment (HIA) and was unable to return to the field. He will now follow the Club’s concussion protocols and will commence the NRL’s mandatory 11-day stand-down period.

Billy Smith successfully returned to the NRL in Round 10 after completing his rehabilitation for a ruptured left anterior cruciate ligament.

There were no injury concerns for any other players that featured in the match.

Paul Momirovski will undergo stabilisation surgery on his left shoulder today, after sustaining an injury in the Roosters Round 9 match. The 26-year-old’s rehabilitation is expected to take a minimum of three months.
