A New Premiership For The Roosters

A new Premiership trophy has been added to the Roosters cabinet!

The Sydney Roosters Physical Disability Rugby League Team made a triumphant visit to Roosters HQ this week, to proudly present the Club with their 2022 Premiership Trophy.

The trophy has now taken its rightful place amongst the various silverware on display in the Nick Politis AM Centre of Excellence.

The Squad also took the opportunity to attend Roosters training and catch up with both the NRL and NRLW teams to discuss their Premiership season.

Sydney Roosters Community and Participation Manager Claire Reed said one of the highlights of the day was seeing the interactions between players, staff and the PDRL team.

“Trent Robinson and John Strange both individually addressed the group and welcomed them to training,” she said.

“Our players understand that when they pull on the Roosters jersey, they all represent the same Club and are working towards common goals, so to see how NRL and NRLW players were engaging with the PDRL team was really special.”

The Roosters are proudly one of the Foundation Clubs of the NSWPDRLA – the New South Wales Physical Disability Rugby League Association – and are one of the four teams who compete in the fortnightly competition run at New Era Stadium in Cabramatta.

Coached by Marco Quintao Snr, the Managing Director of Heroes with Ability, the Roosters PDRL team are on track to secure their second consecutive title, currently sitting in second place on the competition ladder.

The Sydney Roosters would like to wish the PDRL team the best of luck for the remainder of their season!
