Head Coach Trent Robinson is preparing to take on one of the world's biggest climbing challenges - Everest Base Camp Twin Peaks Summit!

Over two weeks, Trent and 20 friends including Mark Hughes, Paul “The Chief” Harragon, and Danny Buderus will tackle the treacherous Everest Base Camp trek in an effort to raise much-needed funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation.

"It’s a challenging climb and I want to push myself to do well, but for me, this is about supporting something that’s greater than you, and I feel really fortunate that I can support Mark’s important work this way,” Robinson said.

“The work that Mark has done, and the struggle and fight he’s had with brain cancer, and the ongoing fight for him – and winning that fight and creating The Mark Hughes Foundation – it shows what support and progress can do to help a great cause.”

Robbo has been preparing with simulated altitude training at the Air Locker Training Facility, which is designed to mimic the effects of strenuous activity at high altitudes with limited oxygen in the air.

Mark Hughes said he has been impressed by Trent's dedication to the rigorous training.

"He's training hard, he's smashing it out. He's ready for Base Camp,"

"Robbo and I are extremely excited, we're looking forward to a huge challenge. It's going to be tough, but we need it to be because we're raising a lot of money for brain cancer," Mark said.

All the best to Robbo and the MHF, the Roosters community is behind you!
