Affiliate Wrap: Silktails Gallant, Glebe and Ipswich Enjoy Bye

It was a quiet week for the Sydney Roosters' Affiliate clubs, with only the Kaiviti Silktails Jersey Flegg Cup side taking the field throughout the Easter long weekend.

The Glebe Dirty Reds had a competition-wide bye in both the Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield, and will take the field this weekend against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Moorebank Rams respectively.

Similarly, the Ipswich Jets spent some time on the sidelines with the QLD Cup undergoing a competition-wide bye, as they prepare to face off against the Redcliffe Dolphins this Sunday afternoon.

Jersey Flegg Cup | Silktails Brave Storm

Kaiviti Silktails 10 def by Melbourne Storm 36

It was a tough outing for the Kaiviti Silktails in Round 4 of the Jersey Flegg Cup, downed 36-10 by the Melbourne Storm in the club's first trip down to Victoria.

The home side began proceedings in quick fashion, with the Silktails facing a 20-nil deficit at the break.

Winger Emosi Daubitu got the Silktails on the board as the sides returned for the second term, with hooker Seru Kalounivalu adding his name to the scoresheet soon after.

Unfortunately, the Storm struck twice in the final ten minutes to seal the victory, with the Silktails continuing to build combinations in search of their first win of the season.

The Kaiviti Silktails will host the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Prince Charles Park in Nadi in their Round 5 clash.
