Welcome to Magic Round 2025.

The festival of football kicked off with the Cronulla Sharks getting the job done in a tight contest against the vastly improved Eels.

Another standout display from Will Kennedy and another double for the prolific Sam Stonestreet was enough to get the Sharks home 28-18.

The Roosters then built on the momentum from ANZAC Day when they ran in seven tries to take care of the Dolphins in the second game of the night in front of 48.359 fans at Suncorp Stadium.

These two sides played a memorable contest in the opening round of the 2023 season when the Dolphins stunned the Roosters in their first ever match but this time around it was James Tedesco at his scintillating best as the Chooks moved to 4-5 on the season.
