NRLW Standouts Taina Naividi & Macie Carlile re-commit

The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce that Taina Naividi and Macie Carlile have extended their contracts with the Club through to the end of the 2027 NRLW season.

Naividi, 24, linked with the Roosters in 2024 after being sidelined by an ACL injury in 2022. The powerful outside back has been in red-hot form this season, crossing for six tries in six appearances. Her physicality and energy on both sides of the ball have made her one of the Roosters’ most reliable performers.

Carlile, 23, has also made her mark in 2025, stepping up in the Roosters’ forward pack with a series of tough and consistent performances. A late addition to the Club’s 2025 Top 24, Carlile has impressed with her ability to bend the line and apply pressure defensively.

Roosters NRLW Head Coach John Strange praised the pair for their growing influence on the team and welcomed their long-term commitment.

“Taina and Macie are outstanding athletes who have really stepped up this season,” said Strange.

“Taina’s impact from the backfield has been enormous. She’s dangerous with the ball, dependable under pressure, and brings a real spark to our edges.

“Macie is one of the hardest-working players in our squad. She’s tough, consistent, and her effort areas are second to none. What she’s delivered this season has been a huge boost to our middle.

“They’re both setting the standard for what it means to be a Rooster, and locking them in until 2027 is a big win for the Club,” he added.
