The Sydney Roosters, together with matchday partner Police Bank, will host the third annual Emergency Services Match at Allianz Stadium on Sunday, August 23, celebrating the extraordinary contribution of emergency services personnel, first responders, medical professionals and volunteers across NSW.
The Emergency Services Match has become an important fixture on the Roosters’ annual calendar, bringing together the rugby league community and NSW’s eight official emergency service agencies to recognise the people who work and volunteer to keep our communities safe.
Each year, the Roosters highlight one emergency service, with Surf Life Saving NSW to be recognised in 2026, following NSW Police in 2024 and the NSW Rural Fire Service in 2025.
The Roosters share a special connection with Surf Life Saving NSW through Bondi Beach, in the heart of the Club’s Eastern Suburbs community, and are proud to shine a light on the thousands of volunteers who dedicate their time to keeping beaches and communities safe across NSW.
The day will feature three matches at Allianz Stadium, beginning with NSW Police v Australian Firefighters at 12.00pm, followed by the Round 8 NRLW Sydney Roosters v New Zealand Warriors match at 1.45pm and the Round 25 NRL Sydney Roosters v Wests Tigers fixture at 4.00pm.

Sydney Roosters Chief Executive Officer Joe Kelly said the Emergency Services Match provided an important opportunity for the Club and rugby league community to recognise those who dedicate themselves to helping others.
“Emergency services personnel and volunteers are there for us when we need them most, and this match is our opportunity to recognise and thank them for everything they do for our communities,” said Kelly.
“We’re incredibly proud of how the Emergency Services Match has grown over the past two years and of the support we continue to receive from all eight emergency service agencies.
“This year, we’re particularly pleased to shine a light on Surf Life Saving NSW and the incredible contribution of its volunteers, including those who help keep our beaches safe throughout our Eastern Suburbs community, from Bondi to Maroubra, and right across NSW,” he added.
Police Bank has joined the Sydney Roosters as the Official Matchday Partner of the Emergency Services Match for the next two years, supporting an event that recognises the invaluable contribution of all eight NSW emergency services agencies.
With a proud history of supporting police and their families, Police Bank’s commitment extends across the broader emergency services community, making the partnership a natural fit for the event.
Club Major Partner BYD will also add some excitement to the day, with six lucky fans taking the field pre-game for the chance to drive away in a brand new BYD Sealion 8, valued at $56,990. The activation forms part of BYD’s Keys for a Cause program, with $1 from every online entry donated to the entrant’s selected emergency service. BYD is supporting the Emergency Services Match for a second consecutive year, giving Roosters fans and members the chance to win a new car while helping support the emergency services community.
With an SCG match also taking place next door, fans are encouraged to arrive early on Sunday, August 23 to enjoy the Emergency Services precinct on Driver Avenue and the full program of three matches at Allianz Stadium.
Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
