Since joining forces with the Sydney Roosters, Major Partner BYD has provided Members and fans with a series of opportunities to win a brand new vehicle while attending some of the Club’s biggest home fixtures.
The initiative has now featured across four Roosters game days, with more than $180,000 worth of BYD vehicles offered to Members and fans.
While the competitions have been open to fans regardless of which team they support, there has been one constant – the opportunity to win has come at Sydney Roosters home games.
Alongside the vehicle giveaways, the partnership has also used the initiative to support the wider community through BYD’s Keys for a Cause program, celebrating the Club’s annual Emergency Services Match.
The First Year of the Partnership
From the first year of the Roosters and BYD partnership in 2025, creating opportunities for Members and fans was part of the game-day experience.
The giveaways kicked off on ANZAC Day, when Members and fans entered online for the chance to win a BYD SHARK 6, valued at $55,900. Eight contestants from thousands of entries were selected to take part in Heads or Tails on the field, with one lucky winner taking home the vehicle.
Later that season, the initiative evolved with the introduction of Keys for a Cause, as part of the Sydney Roosters Emergency Services Match.
Another group of finalists took to the field, with one winning a BYD SEALION 6, valued at $42,990. The competition also supported the Emergency Services community, with BYD making a generous $10,000 donation to Emergency Services through the initiative.
Building on the Initiative in 2026
The opportunities continued into the second year of the partnership, beginning at the Roosters’ first home game of 2026 against arch-rivals South Sydney.
Fans were invited to share their favourite moments from the Roosters-Rabbitohs rivalry, with selected entries featured on the big screen before one supporter won a brand new BYD ATTO 2, valued at $31,990.
Now, for the second consecutive year, Keys for a Cause returns as part of the Club's 2026 Emergency Services Match.
This year, Members and fans have the chance to win a brand new BYD SEALION 8, valued at $56,990 – the largest-value vehicle offered through the partnership to date.
BYD will again donate $1 from every online entry to the entrant’s nominated Emergency Service, continuing the community focus established through the program in 2025.
More Than $180,000 in Vehicles
Across the first two years of the partnership, BYD has now provided more than $180,000 worth of vehicles for Members and fans to win at Roosters home games.
From ANZAC Day and the traditional rivalry with South Sydney to the Club’s annual Emergency Services Match, the giveaways have become a regular feature of some of the biggest occasions on the Roosters home-game calendar.
