The stage has been set for a massive clash for the minor premiership next week after the Tricolours went down to the Titans 30-22 at Allianz Stadium.

In a game that didn't seem to gain any rhythm the Tricolours trailed for most of the clash before finally gaining the lead only to concede two late tries.

Anthony Minichiello was strong on his return whilst Aidan Guerra had one of his best games of the season for the home side.

The Tricolours got off to a slow start, a combination of handling errors and penalties handing the visitors two early tries.

Desperate to avoid a repeat of the week prior the home side hit back soon after, a clever short ball from Pearce setting up Aubuson to score a try that is becoming a trademark of the left edge defence.

There was a finals like intensity in the middle of the field as both sides flung themselves at each other and it was the Titans who finally cracked when Mitchell Pearce somehow wrestled his way over the line.

Just after the break the Titans created a massive overlap and touched down through Don.

With a big home crowd behind them the Trixolours then sprung in to action with a quick double.

Daniel Tupou produced one of his aerial specials before a behind the back ball from Sonny-Bill Williams set up Sam Moa to finally put the Tricolours in front.

It looked as though the home side were going to run away with it until, playing against his old club Takairangi steamed on to an inside ball to put the Titans back in front.

The Roosters had a few chances to win at the death but couldn't capitalise with a stray pass on the hooter under pressure ending up in the hands of Dave Taylor to rub salt in to the wounds.
