The Sydney Roosters will this weekend face the fairytale writing Newcastle Knights for a placein the 2013 Grand Final, after Wayne Bennetts side last Saturday night knocked out the defending Premiers the Melbourne Storm.
The Roosters were afforded a week off after claiming a 4-0 win in a brutal encounter with the Manly Sea Eagles in Week 1 of the NRL Finals Series and will undoubtedly be raring to go after the inclusion of the leader of their pack Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.
Hargreaves missed the Qualifying Final win over his former Club after being handed a one week suspension for a raised elbow in the Tricolours Minor Premiership winning win over close-rivals the Rabbitohs in Round 26.
The Kiwi forward has been named to start in the front row, seeing former Australian and NSW enforcer Luke ODonnell return to the bench after he filled in for the man they call JWH against Manly.
ODonnell has been named on an extended bench for the must-win clash, alongside utility Daniel Mortimer, backrower Mitchell Aubusson and fellow front-rowers Isaac Liu, Dylan Napa and Marty Kennedy.
The Newcastle Knights have named an un-changed side that last weekend upset the Storm in Melbourne, with halfback Tyrone Roberts confirmed as a starter after being under an injury cloud after going down in the final minutes of the Semi Final win.
The two sides have met on just one occasion so far in 2013, with Robinsons Roosters walking away from Hunter Stadium with a 28-12 win over the Knights back in Round 20.
All eyes will be on former team mates Sonny Bill Williams and Willie Mason come Saturday night after the two came together on a handful of occasions in the July 28 showdown and former Rooster Mason being forced from the field following a collision with SBW in the first half.
Mason isnt the only former Rooster up against old team mates with centre Joey (BJ) Leilua set for a showdown with Shaun Kenny-Dowall down the Knights left-edge, after Leilua was released from the Bondi club prior to the start of the 2013 season.
The winner of the clash will face the winner of Friday nights showdown between the Rabbitohs and Sea Eagles for a place in the 2013 Grand Final.
