The annual Roosters Golf Day has again proved a hit with attendees and not just because it's a better afternoon than sitting at work making your way through this week's to-do list.

Held at the picturesque Coast Golf Club in Sydney, the 2015 NRL Squad took to the greens split amongst teams of Sponsors, Members and Fans for a day away from the training paddock following the NRL Auckland Nines.

The first mix-and-mingle event of the 2015 Roosters Calendar, the morning kicked off with an 8am breakfast before MC Anthony Minichiello welcomed guests prior to teeing off.

Something the former Club Captain was doing for the first time in his new role as part of the Roosters Commercial Department.

"It was a bit weird for me arriving to an event as a Staff Member and not player," Minichiello said.

"I wasn't quite sure where I should stand," he laughed.

"But, once you're in that room and everyone begins to arrive, chat and the high-fives begin, it is really one of the best days of the year."

With more than 140 players - split across 36 teams - making their way around 18 holes, this year's sold out event wasn't just a hit with Minichiello, but also those who took the time to step away from the work desk for a day.

"A wonderful and unforgettable day ... I had a great time," Robert Rodriguez of Prestige Consultancy said.

He continued on, "Mini and all the boys were welcoming and generous with their time."

Claire Holloway of the Classic Quarters group (pictured), who joined Australian and NSW backrower Boyd Cordner around the course, added, "It was a great event."

"We really enjoyed Boyd's company, he's a very nice young man ... the players and coaching staff were very professional."

Sharp-shooter with the boot James Maloney again proved to be the lucky charm for any competing teams after the playmaker claimed 1st Prize for the second year running, partnered with proud Partners Peugeot.

The other winners on the day were:

 - Nearest To Pin: David Balaam on the 8th Hole (28cm)

 - Longest Putt: Paul Pannozzo

 - Longest Drive: Matt Berry

Roosters TV were there on the day chatting with Roosters stars of new and old. Stay tuned this Thursday, February 5, to check out what they had to say!
