The Roosters went down to the Panthers 4-50 in the Holden Cup on Monday in what was a disappointing performance.
The opening twenty minutes was back-and-forth for the young sides, but it was the Panthers that broke the line first through their fullback Dylan Edwards.
Hooker Wade Egan was next to score for the Panthers, storming his way between the uprights after the show-and-go.
It was all the Panthers in the first half, and they would finish the half with a 16-point lead after winger Ratu Tuisese used his speed to break the line and score between the uprights.
The Panthers opened the second with back-to-back tries, scoring through prop forward Cowen Epere and again through Dylan Edwards.
A tough game only got tougher for the Roosters when winger Ratu Tuisese went in for a double just a minute later to make it a 32-point deficit.
The Panthers onslaught continued, and the Roosters were no match for the red-hot Panthers.
Bernard Lewis scored a try near the final buzzer to ensure they didn’t leave this one empty handed.
