After an impressive season for the Roosters in the Holden Cup, two members of the squad have been named in the NYC Team Of The Year.

Joseph Manu was named on the wing, while Nat Butcher was named at the lock position after both players had great year with the Club.

JOSEPH MANU

The season started for Manu when he played in all three of the Roosters games at the 2016 Auckland Nines, and caught plenty of attention after showing what he's capable of.

After setting the Holden Cup alight with his lightning speed and footwork, Manu was eventually called up to play for the Roosters feeder club, the Wyong Roos.

He made his first grade debut against the New Zealand Warriors in Round 15 and definitely impressed.

He was on every highlight reel possible after making a classic try-saving tackle on Bevan French in Round 18 when the Roosters played the Parramatta Eels.

NAT BUTCHER

Clearly benefiting from a full pre-season with the NRL squad, Nat Butcher truly shined for the Roosters as a co-captain in the Holden Cup this year.

He played nearly every game, and also received a call-up to play in the Under 20's Origin clash for New South Wales.

In Round 26 of the NRL season, Butcher made his first grade debut against the Brisbane Broncos and looked right at home coming off the bench.
