Sydney Roosters rising stars Nat Butcher and Grant Garvey teamed up with volunteers from Responsible Runners on Sunday morning for a beach clean-up at Rose Bay.

The Responsible Runners initiative integrates running and cleaning with regular clean up to reduce marine debris , build stronger communities, and raise awareness about the health and environmental dangers of single-use disposable waster, particular plastic, to effect positive behavioural change.

Together with the Hon. Gabrielle Upton MP, Member for Vaucluse, and participants in Cranbrook’s Duke Of Edinburgh’s Awards, the Roosters duo helped clean up the beach, collecting rubbish such as plastic bottles, cigarette ends and paper to help organise the recyclables.
