As the excitement of the NRL Downer Auckland Nines ramps up ahead of kick off in February, the Sydney Roosters are pleased to reveal the new-look official 2017 jersey to be worn over the two-day competition.

The detailed jersey is a visual representation of the Club's history, featuring the famous Bondi Pavillion where the Easts Leagues Club was located back in 1958.

Joseph Manu and Ryan Matterson were thrilled to see the new jerseys and have the opportunity to give fans the first look in front of the Bondi Pavillion, as well as the iconic Bondi Beach.

"The jersey looks awesome," Matterson said about the jersey.

"Bondi Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the country, and the area has played a big part in the Roosters history," he added.

One of the stars for the Roosters in the 2016 Nines competition was Manu, and he was excited to be a part of the jersey launch.

"I really love the look of the new jersey," said Manu.

"Being a part of the tournament last year was a massive highlight of the season. It was a lot of fun and hopefully I get the chance to play in this jersey next year," he added.

The jersey pays tribute to the Roosters history, featuring the famous Tricolours red, white and blue - with a modern twist.

The traditional navy blue of the Roosters jersey has been replaced with Bondi blue, as a tribute to the famous Eastern Suburbs beach.

The official NRL Downer Auckland Nines jersey launch will be held at NRL Headquarters on Wednesday.

The jersey is available for Pre-Order (Click Here) on the Roosters online store now!
