After the pair were named in the Sydney Roosters NRL Downer Auckland Nines squad on Tuesday, Mitchell Aubusson and Chris Smith have been called up to line-up in the All Stars clash in Newcastle the following weekend.

It's turned into a big couple of days for Mitchell Aubusson, who was not only named in the Nines squad, but also named to Captain the side.

The good news continues for the Club veteran, who has received his first All Stars call-up to play alongside a long list of NRL superstars, including Roosters Club Captain Jake Friend in the World All Stars side.

In 2016 Aubusson played in his first representative fixture after lining up Craig Fitzgibbon's New South Wales Country Origin side, and will no doubt relish the opportunity to add another representative string to his bow.

In addition to this news, the Roosters 2016 mid-season recruit Chris Smith has been called up to the Indigenous All Stars side to play alongside the likes of Blake Ferguson and Latrell Mitchell.

Smith played two games for the Roosters in 2016 and will play in his first All Stars clash in 2017.

The Roosters now have 5 representatives in the upcoming NRL All Stars clash.
