Following a physical clash with the Bulldogs on Thursday night, two Roosters have sustained injuries which saw them forced from the field.

Kane Evans was injured in the warm-up with a left calf strain before the match, which saw him unable to compete and replaced by 18th-man Chris Smith.

Blake Ferguson was injured in the early stages after sustaining a rib cartilage injury, and though he played on into the second half he was unable to finish the game.

Both Roosters will undergo scans over the weekend to determine a timetable for return, though it is expected that neither injury is overly serious.

Isaac Liu sat out the Round 2 clash due to shoulder soreness, though is expected to be fully fit to return to full contact training.
