The Roosters were on the road for a top of the table clash with the Melbourne Storm in Round 23 and as expected, it was a bruising battle between the competition leaders.

Though there were plenty of bruised bodies in the sheds, the Roosters Medical Staff have confirmed that there were no severe injuries sustained in the match.

Blake Ferguson landed awkwardly on his left shoulder after Storm centre Curtis Scott made contact with the winger while he was contesting a bomb late in the first half, but Ferguson has since been cleared of any serious injury.

Captains Jake Friend and Boyd Cordner made successful returns to the field and pushed through 80 minutes of football unscathed.

All 17 members of the first grade squad that took to the field in Round 23 will be available for selection against the Roosters’ Round 24 home game against the Wests Tigers at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.
