Judiciary Report | Round 17

Two members of the Sydney Roosters first grade squad have been cited by the NRL Match Review Committee following the Club’s Round 17 match against the North Queensland Cowboys.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves received a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact - Head/Neck charge for an incident that occurred in the 11th minute of the match on Cowboys player Josh McGuire.

Should the Club enter an Early Plea, Waerea-Hargreaves will receive 165 points and be suspended for two matches due to the 45 carry-over points that will be added to the charge.

If the Club elects to enter a Not Guilty Plea and Waerea-Hargreaves is unsuccessful in making his case, he will receive 220 points with 45 carry-over points to be added, rendering him unavailable for two matches.

If the Club elects to enter a Not Guilty Plea and Waerea-Hargreaves is successful in making his case, he will be available for the Roosters Round 18 match against the Newcastle Knights.

Victor Radley received a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact – Head/Neck charge for an incident that occurred in the 31st minute of the match against Cowboys player Jordan Kahu.

The base penalty for this charge is 100 points.

Should the Club enter an Early Plea, Radley will receive 90 points and be available for selection this week for the Club’s Round 18 match against the Newcastle Knights.

If the Club elects to enter a Not Guilty Plea and is unsuccessful in making its case, Radley will receive 120 points and be unavailable for one match through suspension.

The Club has until midday Tuesday to enter a plea for each charge.
