The Last Time We Met the Newcastle Knights was over a year ago in Round 18 of the 2019 NRL Telstra Premiership at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

It was shaping up as an interesting battle at the back end of the season, with the Roosters looking to bounce back after a tough loss against the Cowboys and the Knights looking to battle their way to a spot in the top eight.

The first half was a grind-it-out style game, but that would soon change in great favour of the Roosters after they returned from the sheds in the second half.

While it was one try a piece in the opening 40, the second half would dramatically swing the way of the Tricolours, who well and truly kicked open the flood gates.

They scored seven second half tries to claim a dominant win over the Newcastle Knights on a Saturday afternoon.

The game was capped off by a try to Daniel Tupou in his 150th NRL game.
