Fitzgibbon passionately spoke on his move to Bondi in the year 2000, and acknowledged the people around the Club as a highlight.

"It was a big change but for whatever reason, it just felt right the whole time," Fitzgibbon said.

"And I think I've made such a big call to leave and join here that I wasn't going to make another big goal. And along the way that probably worked against me a little bit towards the back end.

"I just felt where the sense of loyalty come from, I think it's more the people in the organisation.

"It's such a great Club, you become so close with everyone that I just felt like, it was just right that I stayed here as long as I could. And I think it was the right time when I did leave."
