Best Moments in 2021: Field Goal Sinks Titans

Season 2021 will certainly live long in the memories of the Roosters faithful with so many moments that stood out in what was truly a unique year in Club history.

We've gone through the memory bank and selected ten of the best moments from the year in chronological order.

Next up is the Round 14 match against the Gold Coast Titans, which came down to a single point to claim a memorable victory on the glitter strip.

Round 14 Match Highlights: Roosters v Titans

Coming off the bye following a dominant win on the Central Coast, the Roosters looked primed to claim two competition points after a dominant first half with tries to Matt Ikuvalu, Angus Crichton and Daniel Tupou setting up an 18-4 lead at the break.

Coming straight out of the blocks in the second stanza, Trent Robinson's men extended their lead to 26 points with rookie halfback Sam Walker crossing before makeshift fullback Joseph Manu charged through for another four-pointer.

But with the Red, White and Blue down a man after a contentious sin-binning, the home side clawed their way back into the contest in the final half-hour, at one point holding a 34-30 lead with just minutes to spare.

Walker Stays Calm to Sink Titans

Not to be deterred, the Roosters levelled the scores with Manu throwing a well-timed cut-out to Ikuvalu, who somersaulted over the line as full-time approached to score a memorably try in the corner.

The missed conversion mattered little as Walker calmly slotted the extra point with just over one minute remaining as his teammates and the crowd both rose in full celebration as the Tricolours iced a 35-34 victory.
