The Central Coast Roosters NSW Women’s Premiership team have had a second draw of the season to remain undefeated in the 2026 competition.

NSW Cup

The 10th placed Sydney Roosters had the bye over the weekend and have risen to 9th place on the ladder with those two points. They next play the 12th placed Parramatta Eels at Wentworth Park on Sunday, 12th July.

Jersey Flegg Cup (Men’s Under 21s)

The 10th placed Sydney Roosters had the bye over the weekend. They next play the 7th placed Parramatta Eels at Wentworth Park on Sunday, 12th July.

NSW Women’s Premiership

The 4th placed Central Coast Roosters remain undefeated after four rounds after drawing 14-14 with the 8th placed St George Dragons at Woy Woy on Sunday, after the Roosters led 10-4 at half time.

The Roosters team featured NRLW squad members Mia Wood (right centre), Nikia Campbell (left centre), Talea Tonga (halfback), Tatum Bird (hooker) and Taneisha Gray (right edge) and development players Logan Fletcher (fullback) and Te Raukura Leafe (prop). Two other development players (Mia Vaotuua and Anastasia Leatupue) missed the game due to their participation in the Australian Secondary Rugby League Schoolgirls Championship. Majayda Darcy was a late withdrawal for the Roosters, unable to recover in time from a rib injury suffered in Round 3.

The Roosters opened the scoring in the 19th minute when interchange prop Felila Fakalelu scored next to the posts, her fourth try in four games this season, and with Tia Cook’s conversion, the Roosters led 6-0. A lovely kick into in-goal area from Dragons left edge forward Mihikorama Kerr saw Dragons left centre Charis Toli score in the 27th minute and with the conversion missed, the Roosters led 6-4.

Just before the half time break, a long cut out pass from five eighth Aylah McCullouch put Roosters left winger Sharni Waters into space and she was too quick for the cover defence as she scored in the left corner to give the Roosters their 10-4 half time lead. It was Waters’ fifth try of the season.

Dragons’ fullback Tia Anderson opened the scoring in the second half when she went through some threadbare Roosters right side defence to score wide out and reduce the Roosters lead to 10-8. Roosters’ right winger Manisha Seebeck replied in the 56th minute in the right corner after some nice passing from Talea Tonga, Logan Fletcher and Mia Wood. It was Seebeck’s third try of the season.

With a 14-8 lead the Roosters kept the Dragons at bay for all but the final set of the match. On the final tackle the Roosters defenders got their spacing all wrong, enabling Dragons’ hooker Paige Attard to dive over from dummy half and close enough to the posts to enable a successful conversion. The Dragons, who never led at any stage of the match, snatched a last-minute draw. The Roosters defence let them down at vital stages in a match they should have won.

With that draw the Roosters rise to 3rd place on the competition table, ahead of their Round 5 clash with the 9th placed Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at Woolooware next Thursday.

Ron Massey Cup

The 9th placed Glebe Dirty Reds have suffered their tenth successive loss, going down 32-24 to competition leaders St Marys at Wentworth Park on Sunday, after Glebe led 18-16 at half time.

Roosters N.S.W. Cup squad members Trey Peni (right wing), Will Malloy (left centre), Rhys Dakin (prop) and Michael Coleman (hooker) all suited up for Glebe, with Peni and Malloy both scoring tries for the Dirty Reds.

It is the fourth time in this ten-match losing sequence that Glebe have led at half time. Again, it was the last 30 minutes that crucified Glebe, with St Marys running in tries in the 50th minute, the 56th minute and the 61st minute to secure victory and remain at top of the competition ladder.

Despite that loss Glebe remain in 9th place on the competition ladder, ahead of their Round 14 clash with 5th placed Wentworthville at Wentworth Park next Sunday.

Sydney Shield

The 7th placed Glebe Dirty Reds have been beaten for the eighth time this season, after going down 56-12 to competition leaders St Marys at Wentworth Park on Sunday, after the Saints led 34-6 at half time.

Sydney Roosters Jersey Flegg Cup squad members Ryder Williams (halfback) and Jacob Tinsley (hooker) both turned out for Glebe.

St Marys ran in ten tries to two, three to left winger Tallis Brown, who also kicked eight goals, for a personal tally of 28 points.

With that loss Glebe drop to 8th on the competition ladder, ahead of their Round 14 clash with 3rd placed Wentworthville at Henson Park next Saturday.
