Shaun Kenny-Dowall will next week return to training alongside a handful of his Premiership-winning team mates after the Kiwi centre underwent surgery on a broken jaw suffered in the October 6 Grand Final win over the Sea Eagles.

SKD will return on a lighter load than the rest of the returning NRL Squad and not engage in any contact drills until the new year, but has progressed better than first thought since breaking his jaw.

In other Injury News, hard-running forward Isaac Liu underwent shoulder surgery following the NRL season and is also ahead of schedule with his recovery.

The front-rower will also return to training next week and, like SKD, work on a lighter load until resuming full training in the new year.
