Sonny Bill Williams has today been charged with a grade two shoulder charge on George Burgess in the 80th minute of last night's clash at ANZ Stadium.
An early guilty plea would see the second rower miss three weeks while a failed attempt would see him miss four.
Captain Anthony Minichiello was also charged with dangerous contact on Souths winger Lote Tuqiri in the 9th minute.
Minichiello will escape suspension with an early plea.
The club has until midday Monday to enter pleas on both players behalf.
Souths pivot Dylan Walker was also charged following the match.
