Injury Update: Round 22

Jake Friend

Friend was yesterday ruled out of NRL action for 2-4 weeks after suffering a hamstring strain in the dying stages of last Saturday's win over the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Friend has undergone scans and will begin rehabilitation on the injury immediately, before returning to training with the full Squad on a limited load next week.

Sonny Bill Williams

SBW suffered a fractured thumb in the side's Round 20 loss to the Newcaslte Knights at Hunter Stadium.

Unable to participate in contact drills at training, SBW is currently training on a limited load and is expected to return to NRL action in 2-3 weeks.

Daniel Tupou

Tupou suffered a torn lat (Latissimus dorsi muscle) in Game III of the 2014 State of Origin Series at Suncorp Stadium.

Tupou has responded well to treatment and rehabilitation so far, training on a limited load, and is expected to return to NRL action in 3-4 weeks.

Siosiua Taukeiaho

Taukeiaho suffered a medial ligament injury to his right knee playing for the Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks of action.
