The Three Milestones In Round 1

Round 1 of the NRL Telstra Premiership will see three significant milestones for three Sydney Roosters players that are set to take to the field against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Friday night.

Team Talk with Matt King | Round 1

COOPER CRONK

Cooper Cronk will play his 350th NRL match in Round 1 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.

To date he has played 323 games for the Melbourne Storm and 26 for the Sydney Roosters.

Cronk will become only the fourth player to reach the 350 mark after Cameron Smith (384), Darren Lockyer (355) and Terry Lamb (350).

BOYD CORDNER

Captain Boyd Cordner will make his 150th NRL appearance, all of which have been played at the Sydney Roosters.

Cordner made his Club debut in Round 13 of 2011 against the New Zealand Warriors and was named as Club Captain in 2017 alongside Jake Friend.

After a full and healthy season in 2019, Cordner enjoys a well earned milestone to kick off the season.

JARED WAEREA-HARGREAVES

To kick off his 2019 campaign, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will play his 200th NRL match.

Waerea-Hargreaves made his debut for the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in 2009 before joining the Sydney Roosters in 2010.

To date he has played six matches for the Sea Eagles and 193 matches for the Roosters.

The Sydney Roosters wish to congratulate all three squad members on these impressive milestones ahead of kick off at the Sydney Cricket Ground tomorrow night.
