The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce we will be holding invitation-only trials for young men to join the Club’s elite Harold Matthews Cup team in 2024.
The Roosters Harold Matthews team have had a strong finals presence over the years. In 2021 the Tricolours progressed to the elimination final of the competition, maintaining their strength into 2022 to secure second place at the completion of the regular season.
Trials will be held on Sunday September 10, at Wentworth Park, Wentworth Park Rd, Glebe NSW 2037. Registration time is 8.00am with games commencing between 8.30am and 9.00am.
To be eligible to participate in the Sydney Roosters Harold Matthews Squad, you must be turning either 16 or 17 in 2024.
Applications close Sunday August 27, 2023. If your application is successful, you will receive an email with all relevant information by Friday September 1, 2023.
Invited players are required to bring playing shorts, socks, boots and other protective equipment e.g. mouth guards, headgear. Jerseys will be provided on the day. Players are also responsible for their own strapping if required.
